Description
 Mr. H. Abdur Raqeeb, General Secretary Indian Centre for Islamic Finance, New Delhi and Dr. Wasiullah, Assistant Professor, BSACIST have participated in Global Conclave on SDGs irganised by Jamia Millia Islamia dyring 6-7 March 2024 at JMI campus, New Delhi and presented a paper on ” Islamic Finance and SGDs” in Indian context. During his power point presentation H Abdur Raqeeb elaborated how SDG and Maqasid-e Shariah are similar and explained that World Bank and UNDP collaborated with SANZAF, Indonesia Zakat Foundation and brought out documents and urged that similar data and documentation of UNDP and any prominent Zakat organisation in India like Baituzzakat can be prepared. A roadmap to undertake similar steps in India be initiated towards the development of the sectors most needed in India .
